What is calcification?
It is a disease caused by loss of cartilage in joints, leading to joint pain and joint stiffness.
It is most commonly seen in the load-bearing joints such as the waist, hip and knee.
As the age progresses, the cartilage structure changes and the incidence increases.
It is more common in those with joint injury, in overweight, in those with inflamed joint rheumatism, in those with muscle weakness around the joint.
