Hormones can be used to relieve pain. Hormones can also help prevent the growth of the uterine tissue, but it will not make them disappear. Hormone therapy is designed to stop the ovaries from running.
Some of the most commonly prescribed hormones are: Birth control pills
Gonadotropin releasing hormone (GnRH)
Progestin.
These drugs are not suitable for every woman. As with most medications, there are some side effects associated with hormone therapy.
