Sinusitis

Conditions that require sinus surgery for pediatric sinusitis are those that are resistant to drug treatment. Surgery is also an important option in the treatment of inflammation around the eyes due to sinusitis. In children with chronic sinusitis or nasal polyps or frequent tonsil infections, nasal polyps and, if necessary, the removal of tonsils are not the only way to treat chronic sinusitis, and an adjunctive treatment should be applied. Endoscopic sinus surgery is the preferred choice for chronic sinusitis that does not heal despite nasal and tonsillectomy operations performed at appropriate times with appropriate drug therapy. The most important goal in this surgery is to open the sinus mouths and clear the inside of the sinuses. If surgery is the most important treatment option for the child then this should be done without loss.
