Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery

Plastic surgery deals with aesthetic and reconstructive surgery (repair surgery). Cosmetic surgery improves the appearance and self-perception of the person by reshaping normal body structures. Reconstructive surgery is performed on unusual body structures formed by congenital or post-emergent causes, and the primary objective is to restore the functions of affected body structures as much as possible.
Reconstructive surgery (repair surgery) is applied to damaged body parts resulting in congenital abnormalities, developmental disorders, accidental injuries, infections, tumors (good and bad) and other diseases. Although attention is paid to the attainment here, the main purpose is to re-function parts of the body that have been injured and have lost their functions.
