Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)

Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), an anxiety disorder, is a disease that restricts people to the cycle of repeated thoughts and behaviors. People with obsessive-compulsive disorder become restless because of repetitive and stressful thoughts, fears, or images (obsessions) they cannot control. Anxiety caused by these thoughts is caused by the need to perform some rituals or routines urgently (compulsions). Rituals are made by attempting to prevent or avoid obsessive thoughts.
