Mud Treatment

WHAT IS SLUDGE TREATMENT (PELOIDOTHERAPY) AND HOW IS IT APPLIED?
The temperature of the pelodin applied to the patients, the area to be applied and the mode of administration are determined by the doctors according to the purpose of the treatment. The areas where the sludge is applied may be knee, shoulder, back, neck, waist, hand or foot and more than one area can be treated with mud. In some diseases, whole body sludge can be applied. Applied temperature is hot 40-45 degrees, warm 35-40 degrees and cold 30-35 degrees.

The peloid used in the treatments is a kind of mud which is formed by the solid compositions in the content of red water. The most prominent feature of the mud is its ability to keep the heat and water from the dense minarets. Thanks to its water-soluble creamy structure, it is easily absorbed from the skin. Along with the bio-minerals, humic acid, bituminous materials, hemicellulose, lignin, and humin substances.
Peloidotherapy to be applied to the patient is applied as written on the program card. The temperature levels of the patient on the program card are determined generally or locally. In the whole body mud wraps, the entire body is taken into the mud. In the case of locally made mud wrapping, the region designated by the doctor is taken to the mud.
