Belt Hernia

The primary goal in the treatment of herniated discs is to relieve the patient's pain and restore normal daily life. First is the training of patients with bed rest and drug treatments that should be applied. My doctor needs to tell the patient about the reasons for the pain and what he has to do in order not to recur.

With Physical Therapy applications, the structures around the spine are strengthened to provide a more balanced distribution of body mass and the discrete load is reduced to a certain extent to alleviate complaints. Epidural injections or blocks are another method used to relieve the pain of patients. These are provided by injections of corticosteroids made to the void around the spinal nerves.

If symptoms such as loss of strength and sensation in the legs and feet occur, or if the complaints of the patients can not be remedied by conservative treatment methods, surgical removal of the herniated disc material will lead to nerve relaxation. In Lomber disc surgery, microscopic or endoscopic surgical methods can be applied according to clinic and radiological findings beside the open surgeon. Another treatment method applied in our clinic is disk prosthesis application. In appropriate patients, the use of disc prostheses makes it possible to pass the pain while preserving the movements of the spine. With the protection of the movement, degenerative problems that may occur in the future are also prevented.
